Finchwoods Academy – Phase 2

After successfully delivering for the school on Phase 1 in 2021, The Qube was approached by the Trust on the design and build of another project at the same school. The school needed a solution for approximately 10 children to support with their SEND expansion plans.

This generous sized teaching annexe has enabled the school to seamlessly integrate the new students into their learning space without disruption. The Qube worked closely with the Trust and School to design the building together, with the children at the forefront of all decisions. This led a building which had no wasted space and made use of the spare piece of car park, so that the school did not lose any playing space.

Inside the teaching annexe you can find:
• 2 x classrooms
• 1 x SEN space
• 1 x Library
• 1 x Community Room
• Multiple toilets including a Disabled toilet.
• Kitchen and store / plant room

The trust now has two modern teaching spaces, where the students and teachers will benefit from a flexible and versatile learning environment for years to come.
